Our Purpose

Our mission at the NEGA Black Chamber is to enhance our organization's reputation through innovative strategies in government affairs. We ensure timely awareness of legislative updates impacting Northeast Georgia, focusing on providing expert analysis of election outcomes, governmental frameworks, and political entities. Our commitment extends to offering strategic consultation to government officials, civic organizations, media outlets, and stakeholders invested in political issues across our region.

 

In navigating the dynamic landscape of public affairs, we empower Black small businesses by advocating for policies that foster economic growth and equity. By staying at the forefront of legislative developments, we equip our members with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate regulatory challenges effectively. Through proactive engagement and collaborative partnerships, we strive to amplify the voices of Black small businesses in shaping policies that drive community prosperity.

GOALS

The Government Affairs Committee at the NEGA Black Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to advancing the economic interests and empowerment of Black-owned businesses throughout Northeast Georgia. Through proactive engagement and strategic advocacy, we strive to foster economic security, maintain strong relationships with elected officials, and preserve critical knowledge and resources within our community. Our efforts are geared towards shaping policies that promote sustainable economic growth and ensure equitable opportunities for our members.

MEMBER SKILLS

The Government Affairs Committee at the NEGA Black Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in advocating for policies that promote economic growth and empower Black-owned businesses across Northeast Georgia. We seek members who are dedicated leaders with a keen attention to detail in communication, and possess knowledge of law and government regulations. These qualifications are essential as we work together to influence legislation, maintain strong relationships with elected officials, and uphold the Chamber’s commitment to advancing our community’s economic interests.

Member Skills & Qualifications:
